Greatest Cardiac Medicines

One of the greatest cardiac medicines is without doubt the humble aspirin.  Although the findings apparently never made the headlines a doctor fifty years ago found that of 400 men given aspirin by him never had a heart attack.   In 1989 an ongoing study involving 22,000 male doctors showed that half the doctors who took a regular aspirin had almost half the risk of a heart attack than the other half who were given placebos.

As a result of this study the humble aspirin was recognised as a true part of cardiac medicine.   It had become a unique heart attack preventative drug.

A daily aspirin is highly recommended for anyone with cardiovascular disease also and male over 40 or female over 50 whether they are suffering from heart problems or not.   You can take it as a cardiac medicine at an earlier age if your risk factors for heart problems exist.  In other words if you are over weight, smoke, drink and have a high cholesterol level.

Taking aspirin on a daily basis can also assist in preventing hardening of the arteries.  There have been scientific studies carried out on a regular basis and they do confirm the beneficial effects of aspirin in helping to prevent heart attacks and recurrent angina at the very least.

Aspirin As A Cardiac Medicine

I can always remember my own parents taking an Aspirin each day because they were advised it was one of the best cardiac medicines money could buy.  The theory that it keeps heart attacks at bay has been around for years but how can this little pill that is readily available from every chemist and supermarket in the town actually help you in this vital quest to counter heart attacks or strokes.  Surely ‘proper’ cardiac medicines would be better?

So how does it work?  Put in simplistic terms aspirin will dilate the arteries which will create more space within them for the blood to flow.  Sounds quite simple really put like that doesn’t it.  That however is just one of medical sciences recommendations, if you are in the high risk category for heart attack or stroke just dilate your arteries and all will be well.  If only it were that simple.

There are of course far more recommended cardiac medicines such as the prescribed cardiac medicines together with treatments such as angioplasty and bypass surgery.  Aspirin does have other qualities as well, one being its ability to inhibit the blood clotting process that is crucial to controlling bleeding.

A very small pill it may be but an ideal cardiac medicine for sure.

Natural Heart Attacks Medicines

Disease of the heart takes many forms the most common of which is coronary heart disease.   Apart from death itself the number of various debilitating illnesses such as heart attacks and strokes is quite phenomenal and means many people are taking cardiac medicines but do not have a real idea what these medicines are doing to help them.

Let us consider some cardiac medicines in common usage today.  To name just a few we have Aspirin, Digitalis, Nitrates, Beta Blockers, Thrombolytic Agents and Statins.

There are of course many more cardiac medicines in today’s market but they do have side effects that can be dangerous and potentially fatal.  For anyone suffering from heart disease or anyone who wants to protect themselves from actually developing the disease then there are many natural ways to do this and avoid cardiac medicines.

It is all a matter of lifestyle and is down to eating the correct foods, getting enough sleep and trying to get plenty of exercise.  Smoking and excessive drinking of alcohol should be banished especially if you have high blood pressure or your cholesterol is too high.

There are of course some cardiac medicines that are necessary but with others you can look after yourself and travel on a safer, healthier route.
